Sept 4, 2017 Smoke, Ash & A BBQ

No pictures this morning as Google is not cooperating.

Friday 9/1 - Sunday 9/3. I split more wood on Friday and JB finished weed eating. We put up the food tent began organizing for Sunday's BBQ.  Saturday morning I went Down There for meat and other perishables.  After lunch we put the tables in the tent and got more organized.

Sunday morning I vacuumed, dusted, made two pots of chili, one white and one regular.  We were actually ready when our first guests arrived a little after 1:00 pm.  Six people did not show up, so there were twelve of us, and once again a good time was had by all.

It was a very hot and smokey three days, with a light ash-fall each day.  Highs were in the mid to high 80's.

Monday 9/4. It is 70 this morning and still smokey with very little air movement.  We are taking today off.

Thought for the day: The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.  e e cummings
