Wednesday 7/2. Was able to get back Up Here before the worst afternoon heat Down There which was 94. Our high was 87 which really precluded doing any real work. Fortunately JB was able to get all his outside chores done before that. He used the tractor to take out three rotten stumps in the same area where we dropped the trees and then mowed around the house.
Thursday 7/3. Busy, busy morning! Our first guests arrived at Rose Camp about 11:30 am and JB drove Miss Kitty down to the gate to meet them. Then we had a great day. Talking, eating, shooting, hiking. Our high was only 81 with a nice breeze. So much fun! And Mother Nature put on a splendid show to end the day.
Friday 7/4. More family coming today. More fun, more food.
Thought for the day: Men should stop fighting among themselves and start fighting insects. Luthor Burbank
