March 30, 2016 March Going Out Like A Lamb

Lots of melting going on.

Monday 3/28. By 10:00 am the snow and rain had moved off to the northeast and we had lots of blue sky.  The wind soon calmed and it was a beautiful day, until clouds moved in mid afternoon.  Our high was 46.

There is a lot of snow mold where the snow is receding.  Doesn't seem to be bothering us though.

I gathered kindling from the north ridge.  There are lots of small branches down and most of them are still wet.

We watched Grease this evening, which is a favorite of ours.  Such great music and dancing!

Tuesday 3/29. We awoke to a glorious morning of blue sky, bright sunshine and 38 degrees.  Buster must have thought it was a great day for a walk because he arrived at 8:00 am to play.

I vacuumed while JB took the dogs for their morning walk.  Then after lunch he filled Miss Kitty's low tire with Slime and I made a big pot of chicken broth for the dogs.  I also gathered a huge bag of kindling from the east slope.  I would say that half of the snow has melted now.  Our high for today was 50, which is the highest temp so far this year.  Before I took the dogs on their afternoon walk, I uncovered the porch chairs and sat in the sun for a little while.  Looks like March is really going to go out like a lamb.  Can't wait to sit out there with my morning coffee.

JB is going Down There tomorrow for his quarterly pacemaker check-up.  He will also run some errands and buy a few groceries.  The road should be okay, but he wants to leave by 9:00 am while it is still firm.

Wednesday 3/30. It's another gorgeous morning with clear skies and a temp of 42.  Looks like spring really has arrived.

Thought for the day: When you talk you are only repeating what you already know.  But if you listen, you may learn something new.  Dalai Lama
